American Flag Destroyed, Replaced With 'ISIS Flag' At Utah High School

Police are investigating a disturbing act of vandalism at a high school in Utah. According to Fox News, somebody shredded an American flag and replaced it with an ISIS flag. Police also found "ISIS IS COMI" spray-painted on a wall of the school.

School employees replaced the ISIS flag with a new American flag and scrubbed the graffiti off the wall. The police stationed extra officers at the school but said they do not believe the person responsible is linked to the terrorist group.

“[B]ased on information we received from the FBI we do not believe this act was perpetrated by someone linked to the Islamic State,” Hurricane PD said in a statement. “This investigation is ongoing and investigators will continue to follow-up on leads.”

Police say they are not sure if the perpetrator was a student or somebody from outside the community. They said they have received multiple tips but so far none of them have generated any credible leads. They have sent a photo of the flag to the FBI for analysis.

Classes were not canceled at the school following the act of vandalism.
